Lake levels stabilized

Lake levels have stabilized two weeks after Saint John Water advised residents to conserve.

The water level at the watershed lakes had dropped about a metre exposing sediment along the banks and increasing the risk that sediment could contaminate the water supply. Despite just minimal rainfall since then, the lake levels have remained stable…not dropping any further.

The fall usually brings more rain to the Saint John area, although the forecast is for dry weather for the next couple of weeks at least.
