They’ve stopped work on a connector road for the Fundy Trail Parkway which may delay it’s opening by a couple of years.
It’s hoped the parkway from Moncton to St.Stephen will become a major provincial attraction, with coastline vistas, beaches, waterfalls and wildlife.
The route is basically fginished except for a connector road between the parkway and Route 114 near Fundy National Park. There’s speculation a new environmental assessment will have to be done which could take two years and delay the opening of the parkway from 2018 to 2020.
