The central peninsula of the city will likely be the first to get a thorough neighbourhood plan.
The Telegraph-Journal reports the project will create neighbourhood plans for three areas of the city which would take into accounts things like building design, traffic, parking and improving neighbourhoods.
Councillors were told the uptown and Waterloo Village were a natural fit for the first neighbourhood plan. It has the largest tax base, the most valuable developed land, the most vacant buildings, and the most businesses. Next would probably be the old North End and Crescent Valley and then Main Street West and the lower West Side.
