Three days of national mourning are underway in Haiti in the wake of Hurricane Matthew.
International aid is pouring into the country now as Haitian officials try to assess the damage. Canada has sent a team to assess the damage and determine what assistance is needed most.
Hundreds are dead…possibly approaching a thousand…and tens of thousands of houses were wiped out.
Matthew’s winds are diminishing along the North Carolina coast but water levels will remain elevated for days. There have been 18 deaths from Mathew in the U-S.
