Samsung has stopped sales of its Galaxy Note 7 smartphone. It’s attempts to fix the battery overheating problem have failed. Samsung Canada says people with either an original Galaxy Note7 or a replacement device should power down and stop using it.

This comes after a number of fires in the replacement devices which were supposed to be safe replacements for the original recalled models.
