Former SJ mayor, Tory MP Elsie Wayne dies

Former Conservative MP Elsie Wayne has died.  The 84-year-old’s passing was announced by the provincial Tories this morning.  Wayne served as mayor of Saint John along with being an MP, and is known for being one of only two Tories to get seats in the 1993 federal election.  Opposition Leader Bruce Fitch called her “a great person who worked very hard for the people of New Brunswick”.
