Journalist obit

A Saint John journalist, whose career spanned six decades, was laid to rest yesterday.

Fred Hazel started at the Telegraph-Journal in 1949. He went on to become editor-in-chief of the Telegraph-Journal and Evening Times-Globe, and was also a contributor to the Globe and Mail and Time Magazine. Hazel died last week at the age of 87.
