Happy Canada Day. Here are 10 more Canadian facts

Canada ranks as the number one country in the world for quality of life (2019)

Canadians invented basketball, the baseball glove, the telephone, insulin, electric wheelchairs, electric ranges and, of course, snowmobiles.

There is a National park in Alberta (Wood Buffalo) that is larger than Switzerland.

Winston Churchill disembarked at Pier 21 in Halifax during World War 2.

Alberta has no rats.

The green ink used for American currency was invented at McGill University in Montreal in 1857.

How big is Canada?  Dublin, Ireland is closer to here than Victoria, BC.

Montreal is the second largest French speaking city in the world (after Paris).

The Quebec town of St. Louis du Ha! Ha! Is the only place in the world to have 2 exclamation points in its name.
